[Photos] / [Video] Llanos del Hospital and Hospital de Benasque
In the north of the Valley of Benasque a refuge has existed in this place for many centuries to offer travellers who cross the pass to France a safe place to stay during their journey. Inside the hotel, the stone walls, the locally crafted wood furnishings, and the hand-painted decoration, give a typical and warmful mountain atmosphere that make Benasque’s Valley different from the other valleys of the Pyrenees.

[Photos] Restaurante la Fuenroya
This restaurant is in the hotel called the Hospital de Benasque, part of a wide valley in the Aragon Pyrenees called the Llanos del Hospital. We celebrated our wedding by inviting some family to lunch at this fantastic restaurant the day after the event. The use of the word 'hostpital' conotates refuge or hostel.
Restaurante la Fuenroya
Cocina tradicional de montaña. Especialidad: comida a la brasa, carnes, recau "Llanos", mondongo y adobo asados.

Abierto de 13:30 a 16 h. y de 20:30 a 22:30 h.
Capacidad para 110 comensales. Cierra en Noviembre.

[Photos] Gran Hotel de Benasque
In the summer of 2005, Mercedes and I held our wedding in the Pyrenees of Spain with the reception held here at the Gran Hotel de Benasque, a remote village in the snowcapped peaks popular with tourists. The Valero family owns this and several local hotels including remote spa calle the Banos de Benasque.
Gran Hotel de Benasque

The Gran Hotel de Benasque was open only 4-5 years ago. This is where our reception will be held. This is one of hotels own by the Valero family.

On the second image you can find a list of their other hotels. All of them are within walking distance to each other, so you can choose either of them for your stay. Well, all of them except for the "Baños of Benasque", which is a thermal waters spa about 40 minutes from the town.

You can find more information about these other hotels at this page, this cartoon map shows the location of the four Valero hotels in Benasque.
