Hey Steven, wow your pics blow mine away. What kind of camera are you using? Yours come out as if the rooms are well lit! Mine are all fuzzy n stuff... :)

Hi Tariq,

Thanks for the complement. Normally I use a dSLR, Canon 20D, but for the conference I'm using a Canon Digital Elph SD900 ( http://www.dpreview.com/news/0609/06091404_canon_s... ) because its slim, easy to carry, and has very intuitive interface. For a point and shoot it has very good qualities such as ISO range from 80 to 1600, and because I prefer to shoot without flash, I set the ISO to ISO 800 for use under the dim hotel lights. As the ISO increases there is a trade off with quality, so you'll find the images grainy. I prefer to not use flash because I can capture more candid shots and not draw attention to myself, and the ambient light provides warm and interesting colors.

By the way, on the my flight to Vegas I read the whole June issue of CFDJ, which is almost devoted entirely to Flex 2, and I especially enjoyed your article on themes and skinning in Flex 2. Thanks!

Mmm ya. I found that the flash on my point and shoot makes the pics worse when trying to shoot from far away as it thinks the flash is going to make a difference. I have an old Canon Elph S400. I've been fantasizing about a Canon Rebel XTi... :)

CFDJ: Oh thanks, glad you liked it!

On Thurs I'll be wearing a bright green super loud shirt - if you spot me feel free to ping me!

Thanks a lot Steven. I wish I where there and join the event with you folks. I hope my colleagues will bring some news and pics. Wish you all much fun on the MAX 2006. :)
