Webcam in Bolton, MA

This webcam looks across my back yard in Bolton towards the north. The best use of the webcam is simply to check the weather and the seasons. Maybe I'll move the bird feeder closer to add some entertainment. If you're curious, here's a map of the area and here's the Town of Bolton website. The webcam itself is a Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000.

How do the photos get from my webcam to this page?

I run a ColdFusion server (the free Developer Edition) on a computer in my home office with the webcam attached. A small ColdFusion script starts the webcam program Logitech ImageStudio every morning, and that program has an automatic motion detector which usually takes a snapshot when a car drives by or when the trees move in the wind. Another ColdFusion script runs every half hour to look for a new picture file in the ImageStudio directory, then it automatically uploads to this website, which also runs ColdFusion server (Enterprise Edition) at a hosting company. This page is itself a ColdFusion script which looks for the most recent pictures that have been uploaded, then displays them chronologically in reverse order, starting at the newest on the upper left.
