Hotel RJ (71 of 121)
In my 'Lets Go' budget travel guide, this place was rated the cheapest in all of Queretaro. With other hotels being filled, I arrived to find Hotel RJ the only hotel available. Although it was clean, it is lacking. Notice the headboard... its painted on the wall. Tackling the seatless toilet was a challenge, and the heavy scent of disinfectant distracted me from the tattered bed cover. The room, called a sencillo, is the least expensive at just 60 pesos, about 7 dollars. At the warehouse-like entrance to the hotel, I was greeted by an old man at a tiny school desk. He handed me a towel, a bar of soap, and a roll of toilet paper. The room does get bonus points for vibrant colors though.
