This is the hotel room I stayed in for part of my stay in Madrid. Strangely, the concierge prevented my friend Isabel from visiting, even for just a moment. The room was quite small, with a rather hard bed, a radiator, and a barren courtyard outside the window. The affairs of others echoed throughout the courtyard at all hours of the night....
